Opening hours

Last entry 15 minutes before closing.

Opening hours are subject to change at short notice.

Church service: Sunday at 10 am

The service will be held in German.
The church opens at 12 pm for visitors.

Crypt museum

The crypt harbours the oldest remnants of the Fraumünster abbey. A multimedia exhibit portrays more than 1200 years of the city's and church's history.

Fraumünster shop

At the Fraumünster shop in the transept of the church, you'll find a hand-picked, unique range of goods. Notably, products with Chagall window motifs are available exclusively here.

Experience the church

Individually

Admission and information fee for touristic visits: CHF 5.– (cash, TWINT or credit card)

Free of charge for:

• children/adolescents (0–16 years), students with student ID, Kulturlegi
• anyone, who wishes to come to the Fraumünster to pause for a moment of reflection and tranquillity. If you would like to come by regularly, you can apply for a personal card.

Included in the fee:

• Admission to the crypt museum
• Audio guide (tour takes about 1 hour)
  or an illustrated
  leaflet about Fraumünster (E-Paper)

Car

Access by car is permitted between 5 am and 12 pm, but parking is only available with a permit.

Access for deliveries for an event in the church is also possible after noon with an access permit in the restricted zone.
